When is the right time to have a baby?
![]() |
The decision to opt for a baby is not the easiest of all before couples in today’s times. This is because many things need to be taken into account before even thinking about baby planning. After all, consent and ability of both the partners to have a baby and give him or her all basic necessities of life should be absolute.
Planning a baby is an extra sensitive issue because this decision is subjected to influence from family, which often make it more complex than perceived in the first place. This is the reason both the partners need to be completely sure of their emotional, physical, mental, and financial standings before bringing their young one into the world.
Bringing a baby to the world is expensive and the related expenses would be including doctor’s fees, pre-natal care, delivery fee, provisioning for emergencies, and post-natal care. The point of concern here is that if both the partners are working, there may be a possibility of the wife’s income amount getting reduced or eliminated due to loss of employment. Therefore, the baby needs to be planned and the financial aspect cannot be ignored. It is also recommended that you plan for expenses a bit harder if the about-to-be baby is not single, but accompanied by one or more (twins, triplets, or quadruplets).
Full-time attention is what babies need and this fact cannot be denied by any mother or expecting women. If you are expecting a baby, it is better that you ignore all travel and adventure plans as this can be risky in medical terms.
Neglecting the spouse (generally the male) by the other is often a problem noticed among modern day couples. It is important to note here that both the involved partners share the same responsibilities and feel the same way, though the male counterpart may not be making public displays of his curiosity to see and raise the child. It is highly recommended that both the partners should devote great attention to each of the other, emotionally, before and after the pregnancy so that the happiness behind pregnancy can be enjoyed equally.
The most important of all factors while planning a baby is career of the to-be mother. Since you do have a control on deciding arrival of the baby but not on the career, this is one decision that both the partners need to really think about before planning the baby. However, it is better to plan for your baby when you are in the age group of 22-29 years. You can give a birth even at 45 or 60 but then complications are bound to come and you surely will not accept or allow them.
All in all, it is important for you to take a stock of your life, goals, dreams, and everything that can affect your life, spouse’s life, and most importantly the life of the baby. Do not make or take decisions in haste and always opt for a planned pregnancy.
