• Good communication skills are vital for any relationship. Always express your feelings and be honest with your partner. Effective communication is the key to a successful relationship.

• Respect for each other is absolutely fundamental. Accept and love your partner for his unique thoughts wonderful. Never discourage him for his thoughts. Respect what he thinks even if it is different from what you think.

• It’s essential to provide space in a relationship. It’s important to give him time to do what he likes. Don’t always force him to do things he is not fond of.

• Have trust in your relationship. If you and your partner do not trust each other, the relationship might not last longer.

• Plan special times together which interest both of you.

• Say I love you often. Sometimes it becomes necessary to convey your feelings by word of mouth.

• Don’t be demanding. IF you are so this will have a negative impression of yours on your partner. Be understanding and compromising.

• Avoid being argumentative just because you want things your way. This will make your partner feel unwanted and unimportant.

• Always try and be your true self. Do not try to be someone or something different as a way to please your mate. For a relationship to work, both people need to be their own self.

• When couples first start dating, cuddling is usually a part of their everyday existence. This should continue even when your relationship becomes old. This will make your partner feel cared and loved.

• Support you partner in all times of happiness and sorrow.

• You need to be prepared to give as well as take. You need to also be prepared to sacrifice your needs for the other person at times.

• Have the patience to listen to what your man has to say. This will make him feel that he is important to you.

• Be generous and genuine with compliments. This wil make your man feel that you notice him and his efforts well.

Keeping the spark alive in a relationship is the challenge. These days most of the couples fail to maintain the freshness in their relations. You can keep it alive by making the effort to do new things, to enjoy new adventures and to do what your partner likes.
