There is no and cannot be any magical formula to make things work in a relationship. But things can surely be done to ensure that relationships last for long and the love grows stronger with every passing day.
1) It is a common perception that opposites attract. Well they do but things can possibly go wrong when the two of you do not share even a single thing in common. If such a situation happens in your life, chances are that you will want to get out of it sooner than expected.
2) If you think relationships are conditional, you are heading towards separation even before the two of you get united. However, this does not mean that any of the partners should always be on losing side and the other one always privileged to be on winning side; it must be reciprocated.
3) Most relationships in this world die due to lack of space. If you try too hard to maintain the relationship or want attention all the times, you probably are heading nowhere and the relationship will, sooner or later, die for sure.
4) Trust is the most important factor in the success or failure of a relationship. If any of you cannot create or maintain it, it is better to get away than hoping for a miracle to happen. However, neither of you should see the other one with suspicious eyes all the times. We all are humans and integrity and loyalty are two aspects of a relationship that should always be respected and nurtured.
5) Last but not the least do not try to change your partner or impose your own ways on him or her as that will lead to suffocation in the relationship and things will die.
If you can see a future of the relationship between you and the partner, as he or she is now, there is every chance that things will materialize else it is better to get apart rather than being trouble for each other.
